Lori is a commercial law and privacy attorney with more than 25 years of experience advising technology, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and media companies — from startups to established enterprises — on both sides of the Atlantic. She counsels SaaS and IaaS providers, and advises clients on AI governance, contract terms, IP ownership, and privacy compliance, both as organizations deploying AI and as customers licensing AI tools from vendors. While her practice has concentrated on technology and media, she has represented clients across a wide range of industries.

Lori has lived and worked abroad on three continents, and much of her practice sits at the U.S.–EU intersection. In Ireland, she served as Chief Legal Officer to a streaming media company. In England, she worked with an innovative law firm advising American technology companies seeking to enter the European market. That experience shapes how she counsels clients building products that have to satisfy U.S. and European privacy requirements at the same time.

Lori has served as outsourced general counsel and legal consultant to companies including Hulu, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Cornerstone OnDemand, Supfina Machines, Verizon Digital Media Services, and Allergan, as well as to startups and companies at every stage of growth.

Most recently, before joining OGC, Lori most recently served as Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs at FanDragon Technologies, a startup delivering event tickets to mobile wallets over blockchain — a business that put privacy, IP, and consumer protection questions directly into the product. She advised the senior leadership team, negotiated contracts for the sales team, and built the company’s privacy policies, terms of use, and data protection agreements, reviewing product features for compliance with applicable laws, including U.S. and European privacy laws.

Lori holds the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) designations in U.S. and European privacy law and AI– AIGP, CIPP/US and CIPP/E and FIP. Lori is also an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). She is a graduate of UCLA Law School (J.D.) and the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., Political Science, with honors), and earned an LL.M. from University College London, where she was a Bentham Scholar.

Lori speaks French fluently and Spanish passably. She currently lives in California, where she and her family enjoy bike riding, skiing, cooking, and travel. Lori also loves fly fishing (catch and release).
